Obituary

William Bradley Seymour, 14 years of age, passed away in Gallaway, Tennessee on August 27, 2024. Memorial services will be held at Catchings Sharkey Funeral Home in Summit, MS on Saturday, September 21, 2024. Visitation will be at 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m.

Will was born on December 16, 2009 in McComb, Mississippi to Glenn and Laura Seymour. William is survived by his three Sisters, Kaylee, Alex, & Amy Wallace & he was the youngest of the four siblings. Will was especially close to Kaylee Wallace because of their closeness in age, and the early years they spent together playing, laughing and joking. Will attended North Pike Elementary, entered into the Jr. High School, and then attended French Camp Academy in French Camp, Mississippi. Will attended Epic Martial Arts, and prior to the dreaded Covid epidemic, he achieved his red belt while in elementary school.

Will began playing the guitar at age 9 and had become quite proficient. He had an eclectic love for music but most loved the best of Classic Country Music. His favorite musician was Hank Williams, Sr. He would regularly sing out loud "I Saw the Light" and get his classmates to join in with him. He loved this song, and there is no doubt that he's walking with God in Heaven under that light right now.

While at French Camp, Will picked up an appreciation for horses. He dreamed of working as a ranch hand and becoming a professional horse trainer. He loved going on riding excursions, rounding up, and working with cattle. This past Summer, Will visited Great River Outdoors in Natchez for multiple trail rides, a cattle roundup, and a four-wheeler extravaganza before returning to school. He was a true cowboy at heart, loving to dress the part from his cowboy hat to his cowboy boots. Of course, every cowboy has to have a unique belt buckle, and with great pride, he chose his for the State of Louisiana.

Will was initially baptized by Randy Spring at the Summit Church of Christ. He attended services there regularly up to age twelve, when he began attending French Camp Presbyterian Church. During his time at Summit Church of Christ, Will became verry close to Darren and Cindy McEwen, and their daughter, Jana McEwen Brackett. They were very active in his life from age two through his elementary years, and their love for one another was very strong. Will frequently visited them while on breaks from FCA. While attending the French Camp Presbyterian Church, he developed a special relationship with his Dorm Parent, Randy Martin. Randy helped Will with scholastics and with knowing and understanding God. Randy was a great mentor for Will and made great progress with him while at FCA.

Will's smile and laughter will forever resonate in our memories. With his friends, he shared a comradery that was amazing. He provided support for those going through difficult times, and He was very loyal. Many have expressed comments about Will's great sense of humor and the way it would bring light to many situations. The family will always appreciate the late Summit Church of Christ, where attendance was like a step back to a better time.
