Mr. William Alva Mixon, 92, of McComb, Mississippi, passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2025 at McComb Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Magnolia, Mississippi on August 23, 1933, to John William "J.W" and Ora Nell Mixon.

Mr. Mixon is preceded in death by his parents and by one sister, Johnnie Nell Hughey.

Survivors include his son, William Spencer Mixon and his wife, Tina L. Mixon, of McComb.

Graveside services will be held at Hollywood Cemetery on Thursday, October 16, 2025 at 2:00 in the afternoon. Catching-Sharkey Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
