Mrs. Voncile Adcox Henderson, 85, of Summit, MS, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 8, 2021 at her residence.

Mrs. Voncile was born in Smith County on June 20, 1935 and was the daughter of Melvin Adcox and Pearlie Jones Adcox. She was member of Van Winkle Baptist Church in Jackson, MS and was very active until moving to Summit, MS with her daughter and family. To her, family meant everything. She also loved her plants and gardening. She was an avid cooker and was known for some of her special dishes. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 37 years, Obie Henderson; one brother, Walter Adcox and one sister, Velma Ware.

She is survived by two sons, Stanley Henderson and Angele of Brandon, MS and Chris Henderson and Cindy of Brandon, MS; two daughters, Rita Schwab and Tom of Summit, MS and Anita Simmons and Clarence "JC" of Summit, MS; one sister, Cleo Garner of White Oak, MS; six grandchildren, Christopher Kile and Stephanie, Corey Henderson and Katelyn, Michelle Rester and Daryl, Amanda Stegall and Richie, Richard Clack and Laci, and Sharon Simmons; eleven great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Richard Clack, Christopher Kile, Corey Henderson, Garrett Stegall, Richie Stegall, Destin Townsend, Gage Townsend and Julian Simmons. Honorary Pallbearers will be Joe Garner, John Garner and Tim Ware.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 11, 2021 from 6PM until 8PM at Sharkey Funeral Home in Summit, MS and continue on Friday, February 12, 2021 from 2PM until time of Service at 3PM at Lakewood Memorial Funeral Home in Jackson, MS with Bro. Donnie Guy officiating. A Burial will follow in the Lakewood Cemetery in Jackson, MS.
