Early in the morning of April 8, 2023, Vivian Reeves passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 99. A lifelong Mississippian, she fondly called Pike County "home". She enjoyed spending time with her three sisters, three children, six grandchildren, and ten greatgrandchildren. She was an excellent seamstress, and over the years, cross-stitched beautiful pictures and made lovely quilts. In her later years, she was an avid reader. She retired from the University of Southern Mississippi, where she was a payroll clerk.

Vivian is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest T. and Inez Brewer; her husband of 37 years, Dr. Percy A. Reeves; her husband of 14 years Dewitte C Rutland; her sisters, Julia Lee White, Louise Godbold, Marie Allen, and granddaughter, Katy Reeves Smith.

Vivian is survived by her three children, Linda Reeves Albers (Morris), Dr. Don A. Reeves (Susan), and Terri Reeves Carter (Charles); grandchildren, Dr. Jill Glick (Dr. Matthew), Allen Reeves, Amy Simmons (Brent), Haley Lowery (Josh), grandson-in-law Jeff Smith, and Chase Carter, as well as 10 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Sharkey Funeral Home in Summit, MS, Sunday, April 16, 2023 beginning at 1:00 P.M., with a brief service officiated by Rev. Bradley White at 2:00 P.M.
