Vince J. Varley, 67, of McComb, passed away, Thursday, November 30, 2017. He was born September 3, 1950 in Dunstable, England. He was the son of Thomas Henry and Rhoma Moore Varley of England. Vince was a well-liked and loved person that had many talents. He loved to travel around the world, sightseeing and spent some time working in Saudi Arabia. Vince worked as an automotive body repair man in the McComb area. He loved to play the guitar and the band he played with while in England, was the opening band for The Beatles at one of their concerts. He also had the honor of playing with Eric Clapton in the studio. He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Lyndy. He is survived by his loving companion, Gail McGowan of McComb; two sisters, Wendy of Australia and Ruth and her son, Tony of England; three children and their spouses, Sandy and Rex Ginn of McComb, Chris and Larkin Wallace of Ellisville and Craig and Dana Wallace of Summit; nine grandchildren, Kristie, Brandon, Shay, Hayden, Jacklyn, Peyton, Rebecca, Ryan and Amanda; three great-grandchildren, Kylie, Kody and Tucker and numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date and location to be announced with Sharkey Funeral Home in Summit in charge.
