Obituary

Velma (Crawford) Allred, 73, of Summit entered into rest September 11, 2021 at UMC Jackson.

She is preceded in death by her parents father Grady Crawford, mothers Nellie Crawford (Martin) and Cornelia Crawford (Davis-Van Norman), brother Charles Crawford, sister Donna Sue Byrd.

She is survived by her sons, Charles Allred (Heather) of McComb Christopher Allred (Yolanda) of Texas. Brothers Marcus Crawford of Grovetown, Georgia, Thomas Van Norman (Emily Sue) of Magnolia, sister Linda Welch (Don) of McComb, grandchildren Akria Allred, Akyria Allred, and Ariel Allred, several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. The family would like to thank her caregiver Shirley Gilmore.

Pallbearers are Charles Allred, Christopher Allred, J.D. Penton, Andrew Hample, Anthony Boyd, and Charles Oliver. Honorary Pallbearers are Shep Crawford, Stacey Crawford, Stewart Crawford, Shelby Crawford, and Bill Crawford.

Velma was a loving sister, mother, and friend. A visitation will be held Wednesday September 15, 2021 at 2:00 PM until time of service at 3:00 PM at Sharkey Funeral Home in Summit with Bro. Terry Ballard officiating. Burial will follow immediately at Whittington Cemetery.
