Obituary

Vaudia Ann Young Miller of Clinton was called home to be with her Savior on the morning of June 6th, 2023. Vaudia was born on April 4th, 1942, to Thomas Newton Young and Ethel Amy Mae Brakefield Young in Belmont, Mississippi. She was married to her husband, Ray L. Miller, in 1964, and they went on to have four children together. A long-time resident of the McComb area, she was the owner and operator of McComb Beauty School, and she later enjoyed working with her friends at Skate City Bingo. She was always ready for an adventure, whether it was across the ocean on a cruise, watching hockey on the ice, sitting in the heat cheering for her grandchildren on the ball field, or watching them shine on stage in their dance recitals. In her later days, she enjoyed watching her favorite westerns, crocheting, listening to her audio Bible, and spending time with her beloved family. She was a dear friend to many, but her most cherished role was being a Mom and Maw Maw to her many children and grandchildren. Above all else, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with all of her family and friends. In 2008, she made her profession of faith through baptism at Daniel Memorial Baptist Church in Jackson, Mississippi. Now she is enjoying her greatest adventure yet- sitting in the presence of Jesus.

She is proceeded in death by her husband, Ray L. Miller; mother, Ethel Amy Mae Brakefield Young, and father, Thomas Newton Young; her five sisters, Opal Lee Dunaway, Lillie Mae Dobbs, Ila Scott, Dessie Mills, Bessie Robinson, and an infant brother. She is survived by her children, Teresa White (Nickie), Tommy Miller, Linda Branch (Lonnie), Anna Miller, Charles Miller, Vince Miller (Kimberly); her grandchildren, Candy White, Nick White (Natalie), Becky Pope (Allen), Dustin Miller (Phylicia), Tessa Busby (Ross), Colton Branch, Carroll Branch, Kayden Chistov, Jennifer Miller, Ricky Miller (Kayla); her great grandchildren, Kane, Kasen, Kolin, Madison, Morgan, Parker, Jackson, Alyssa, Adabelle, Charlee, Naomi, Kinslee, Amelia, Kacie, Ross Junior, PJ, Lundyn, G-Rae, Italy, Brady, Brody, and a host of nieces, nephews, and beloved family and friends.
