Mrs. Trudy Armfield, 64, passed from this life on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at King's Daughters Medical Center with her loving family by her side. She was born on March 23, 1957 in Independence, LA, to Wallace Ford, Jr. and Leona Jones.

She enjoyed sewing and crocheting for her family. She was a homemaker and was a mom to many more than just her children. She was a kind hearted woman who always saw the good in people. She had affection for owls collecting anything that she saw with an owl on it. She was a loving child of God.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her step-father Tommie Crow; her step-mother, Lorena Ford; one sister, Tracy Lynette; three brothers, Ronnie Ford, David Reese, and Howard Reese, Jr.; and one grandchild.

She is survived by her husband of 18 years, Robin Armfield; one brother, Wayne Ford (Sybil); one sister, Earline Mumaw; three daughters, Tracy Miller (Brandon), Rhonda Fulkerson (Gavin), Stephanie Arnold (Tim); five sons, Michael Kirkland (Belinda), Tony Armfield, Kevin Kirkland (Heather), Joseph Kirkland (Kaci), and Joshua Ford (Mollee); twenty two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and three more to be, and a host of family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at Sharkey Funeral Home from 11:00 AM until time of service at 1:00 PM. Bro. Greg Whitehead will officiate with Sharkey Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
