Mr. Troy Mark Guidroz, 75, of McComb, MS, was born in Gretna, LA on December 20, 1944 and was the son of Rene Guidroz and Annie Pitre Guidroz.

He was raised on Bayou Lafourche where he began his own family at the age of 20. He worked for the phone company, as a carpenter, and he had a 26 year career as a certified welder for Shell Oil until he retired at the age of 49. He was a man of many skills and creative talents and enjoyed painting and woodwork. He was a relentless provider to his family and a church oriented, God fearing man who longed to be closer to God.  He loved his family and instilled morality, discipline, independence, and love of God and family in his children. He was a leader in the church and community and was always willing to help whenever it was needed. In the end, he succumbed to cancer, Parkinson's and Dementia, and was finally called home to be in the glory of our Father as was his final wish on November 25, 2020. We know he had the most wonderful Thanksgiving Day, finally reunited with his parents and other loved ones who were awaiting him with God. His memory will be cherished by all who loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Rene Guidroz, Jr. and Dave Guidroz and one sister, Irma Guidroz Mayet.

He is survived by his ex-wife, Judy Guillot Guidroz of McComb, MS; two sons, Willie Guidroz and Linda of McComb, MS and Daniel Guidroz of Petal, MS; four daughters, Lydia Guidroz of Cut Off, La, Missy Guidroz Chiasson of Larose, LA, Doreine Guidroz Hernandez  and Pete of McComb, MS and Denise Guidroz Rowe and Brandon of Summit, MS; two step-sons, Gary Rodriguez and Kelly of Baton Rouge, LA and Kip Rodriguez and Claire of Texarkana, TX; one step-daughter, Vickie Rodriguez of Gloster, MS and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and friends.

Pallbearers will be Pete Hernandez, Mark Peavey, Allen Travis, Brandon Travis, Shay Mousseau and Matt Hamilton.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at 11AM at Hollywood Cemetery in McComb, MS with Bro. Ed Stewart officiating and Sharkey Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
