June 23, 1951 – January 19, 2021
Mr. Thomas Allen Steele, 69, of Magnolia, MS, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS.
Mr. Allen was born in Gloster, MS and was the son of William Lucien and Grace Whittington Steele. He attended East Union Baptist Church for over 10 years. He worked at R.W. Delaney for 29 years as a Heavy Equipment Oilfield Operator. He loved his family and provided for them. He enjoyed watching his grandsons, Slade and Sawyer, play ball as well as hearing their hunting and fishing stories. He was a loving husband, father, friend, and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Brewnett Steele.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Nelda Chapman Steele of Magnolia, MS; one son, Adam Steele and Laurie of Magnolia, MS; two sisters, Shirlene Priest of Liberty, MS and Joyce Brashier of Brandon, MS; two grandsons, Slade Steele and Sawyer Steele of Magnolia, MS and host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
A visitation will be held on Friday, January 22, 2021 from 10AM until time of service at 12PM at East Union Baptist Church in Magnolia, MS with Bro. Brandon Lynch and Bro. James Conley officiating and Sharkey Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. A burial will follow in the East Union Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Eddie Holmes, Joey Taylor, Jeremy Howell, Ethan Howell, Jamie Priest, Jason Caraway, and Turner Thompson. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Eldridge and Steve Miller.
Due to Covid-19 and the CDC restrictions, the family requests that masks are worn and social distancing is observed.
