Obituary

Thomas Warren Christian, 78, passed away at home in Madison, Mississippi, amongst family on August 31, 2025.  He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, on September 27, 1946, to Luther and Dorothy "Dot" Christian.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Bruce and Pete.

He is survived by his sister, Mary, wife, Colette, and children, Seth, Jacob, Derek, and Jodi.  Thomas received his undergraduate degree from Mississippi State University and subsequently received his medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine.  He completed a pediatrics residency at the University of Mississippi followed by fellowship in Asthma, Allergy, and Immunology at the University of Colorado in Denver, Colorado.  He returned to Jackson where he established Jackson Asthma and Allergy and practiced medicine for 40 years until retirement in 2019.

He was a loving father and husband as well as an avid golfer and loyal Mississippi State alumnus.  He enjoyed attending Mississippi State sports, and in his later years, he developed a love and appreciation of the beach and relaxation.

A visitation and funeral service will be held on September 5, 2025, at Sharkey Funeral Home, 1023 Old Brookhaven Road, Summit, MS starting at 9:00 with service at 11:00.   A graveside service will be held afterwards at Johnson Chapel United Methodist, 2093 Chapel Drive, Summit, Mississippi, 39666.
