Tammie Newman Jones, 63, of Summit, MS passed from this life on Friday, February 10, 2023 at Select Specialty Hospital in Jackson, MS, surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Tammie was born in Magnolia, MS on December 29, 1959 and was the daughter of Leonard Newman and Faye Goynes Newman. She was a person that was full of life and loved others. She was a giving person until the end of her life. There were so many things that she done for people because she was always thinking of others. She instilled that same trait in her own children. She loved her family and granddaughters more than anything, and they loved her. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her father-in-law, Robert Jones; one brother, Dennis Newman; one brother-in-law, Jimmy Jones; two sisters-in-law, Judy Lofton, and Debbie Newman, and one niece, Joanna Newman.

She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Donald Jones of Summit, MS. He was by her side until the end. Her mother-in-law, Sarah Wall Jones; one son, Robert Jones of Summit, MS; one daughter, Donna Jones and Nina of Foley, AL; three brothers, Lynn Newman, Gary Newman, and Mike Newman and Barbara; three sisters-in-law, Barbara Walker and Jerome, Darlene Landry, and Brenda Lancaster and Wayne; five granddaughters, Madison White, Morgan White, Anna Claire Jones, Harper Jones, and Lynden Jones; one special family member, Charles Cutrer, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Shawn Dulaney, Josh Newman, Matthew Newman, Nick Jackson, Shane Jackson, and Jerry Walker. Honorary pallbearer will be Charles Cutrer.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 12, 2023 from 4PM until 8PM and continue on Monday, February 13, 2023 from 10AM until time of service at 11AM at Sharkey Funeral Home in Summit, MS with Bro. Lance Moak officiating. A burial will follow in the New Zion Cemetery in Kentwood, LA.
