Shelia Lynn Boyd, 70 of Summit, MS passed away Sunday, February 22, 2026 at the Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center in McComb, MS. She was born Sunday, April 17, 1955 in Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. at New Heights Baptist Church in Summit, Mississippi. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in Summit, MS.  Dr. Jim Futral and Bro. Rick Kennedy will officiate. Sharkey Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

She was preceded in death by her father, William G. Bales; mother, Fannie Mae Allan Bales; brother, Ronnie Bales (Donna).

Survivors include her husband, John W. "Billy" Boyd of Summit, MS; son, Jason Boyd; daughter, Stacey Boyd Wishart (Thomas); grandsons, Zachary Boyd (Stephanie) and Levi Wishart (Brianna); granddaughter, Brittany Boyd; great grandsons, Logan Boyd, Beau Boyd, Lawson Boyd, Rhett Boyd and Jay Wishart; great granddaughter, Lottie Wishart.

Pallbearers will be Zack Boyd, Levi Wishart, Eric Bales, J K Bales, Daniel Bales, and Logan Boyd. Honorary pallbearers will be Beau Boyd, Lawson Boyd, Rhett Boyd, Jay Wishart, Tommy Boyd, Bruce Bales and Tommy McKinley.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Heights Baptist Church.
