Mr. Shelby Leon Prestridge, 88, of Magnolia, MS passed from this life on Sunday, March 5, 2023, at his residence. He was born on July 29, 1934, to William Leon Prestridge and Belle Miller Prestridge. He was a member and deacon at Line Creek Baptist Church in Kentwood, LA.

Preceding him in death were his parents and his wife, Helen Norris Prestridge.

Survivors are two daughters, Nicole Greer (Jeremy) and Libby Byrd (Russell); one sister, Hazel Ann Waltman; and five grandsons, Peyton Scott Greer, Caleb William Byrd (Ashlyn), Brady Alexander Byrd, Ethan Cole Greer, Carson Frazier Byrd.

Pallbearers are Peyton Scott Greer, Caleb William Byrd, Brady Alexander Byrd, Ethan Cole Greer, Carson Frazier Byrd, and Robert Wiley Byrd.

Honorary pallbearers are Bobby Easley, Don McDaniel, and Gene McMichael.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at Terry's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery 1147 Church Rd, Magnolia, MS, beginning at 5PM. Dr. David Millican will officiate with Sharkey Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
