Mrs. Shelby Mann Caron, 84, of McComb, MS, passed from this life on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at McComb Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in McComb, MS.
Mrs. Shelby was born in Oktibbeha County, MS on June 4, 1938 and was the daughter of Johnny Mann and Vestell Elizabeth Seago Mann. She was a devout Baptist, Christian lady and was known as a soul winner. She loved the Lord and loved to tell people about him. Besides living for the Lord, her family meant everything to her. She enjoyed her time spent with her children, Grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a wonderful cook and was known for some her many special dishes, especially her cornbread dressing. She will be greatly missed by her church family and all that knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Frank Lee Caron; her second husband, Frank Philebar; two brothers, Joey Merle Mann, and James Gregory Mann, and; two sons, Frank Lee Caron, Jr., and Jeffery Layfette Caron, and one grandson-in-law, Koby Wilson.
She is survived by her one son, Johnny Jay Caron of Livingston, LA; one daughter, Melody Ann Kliebert and Mike of Ponchatoula, LA; two brothers, Robert Wayne Mann of McComb, MS, and Danny Ray Mann and Dariene of Hattiesburg, MS; two sisters, Ann Reid of Jayess, MS, and Jenny Laird and Herbert of Brookhaven, MS; six grandchildren, Kim Anthony and Jason, Tina Wilson, Jessica Long, Jeffery Caron, Jr., Jesse Caron, and Zachary Caron; ten great-grandchildren, Matthew, Bradley, Kenlee, Karter, Tinsley, Payton, Izayah, Taygen, Elijah, and Kylie; one expected great-grandchild, Everleigh Rose, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Jesse Caron, Zachary Caron, Matthew Mayeaux, Bradley Mayeaux, Jason Anthony, and Robbie Mann. Honorary Pallbearer will be Stevie Yoas.
A visitation will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022 from 9AM until time of service at 11AM at Sharkey Funeral Home in Summit, MS with Bro. Dennis Walker officiating. A burial will follow in the Hollywood Cemetery in McComb, MS.
