Sheila Extrom Wagoner, 77 of Summit, MS passed away Thursday, February 19, 2026. She was born on August 10, 1948, in Beloit, WI to Mike and Betty Lou White Extrom.

Sheila was a 1966 graduate of Marion High School in Marion, Indiana where she was actively involved in several clubs. On August 10, 1973, she married the love of her life, Rex Wagoner. Together they built a life centered on faith, love and devotion. One of their favorite past times was riding motorcycles together, creating memories filled with adventure and joy. Sheila considered her greatest accomplishment in life to being a proud and loving mother to her son, Chad Wagoner. Sheila worked as an Account Analyst at Cencora until her retirement in 2018.

After moving to Summit in her later years, Sheila was deeply involved in her church, West McComb Baptist Church where she found great joy. She especially loved participating in the Senior Adult Group "Yesterday's Kids" and treasured the friendships she formed there.

Sheila was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a sister Delores Sorrell. She is survived by her sister Betty Jane Podewells. Nieces Margo Sorrell and Candy Sorrell, great nieces and great nephews, Ashley Sorrell-Duety, Dylan Ford, Brittany Sorrell and Blake Sorrell. Sheila shared a wonderful lifelong friendship with her dear friend, Denise Shoen, a relationship she treasured deeply.

Sheila loved life wholeheartedly and was a bright and uplifting presence to all who knew her. Her warmth, kindness and vibrant spirit will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
