Mr. Prentiss "Paddy" Arnold Deere, III, 67, of McComb passed from this life on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at his residence.  Paddy was born in McComb on July 3, 1955, and was the son of Prentiss Arnold Deere, Jr., and Britty Jean Leddy Deere. He loved sports and was an avid Ole Miss and Saints fan. He also had an interest in gardening and meteorology, and he was the family "weather forecaster." Formerly, he worked for Nance and Collums, Inc, and most recently for the Mississippi Department of Transportation.  He lived for his family and cherished each moment spent with them.

He is preceded in death by his father and by his sister, Rachel Jean Kalil.

He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Kathryn "Kathy" Brumfield Deere of McComb; his mother, Britty Jean Leddy Deere of Summit; one son and daughter-in-law, Josh Deere and Lacey of Hattiesburg; one daughter, Kristen Deere of Hattiesburg; one brother and sister-in-law, Andrew Deere and Vicky of McComb; one sister and brother-in-law, Laurel Williamson and Michael of Houston, Texas; one granddaughter, Lottie Deere of Hattiesburg, and many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2022, from 9AM until time of memorial service at 11AM at First Christian Church in McComb with Dr. David Millican officiating and Jackie Brown arranging music. Sharkey Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
