Phillip W. Barkley, 76, of Summit, MS, passed away Monday, December 11, 2017, at Southwest MS Regional Medical Center. He was born in Octagon, AL, on June 6, 1941 to Clarence Allen and Sally Mae Hill Barkley. He is preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Jeanne Singleton Barkley; three brothers, Eddie Lee, Allen and Brooks Barkley, and two sisters, Louise Etheridge and Ethel Gunter. He is survived by his wife, Judy Bowlin Barkley; two sons, Jeff Barkley of Oxford, MS and Jason Barkley and wife, Christie of Orange Beach, AL; two step-daughters, Chrystal Waller and husband, Kenny, and Shelby Hess and husband, Trey; a step-son, Jason Price; three sisters, Emma Jean Barkley, Clarice Reed, and Evelyn Norris; mother-in-law, Betty Bowlin; five grandchildren, Cayden Barkley, Taylor Barkley, Brittany Barkley, Brennan Barkley and Mollie Kate Barkley; seven step-grandchildren, Andy Waller, Anna-Claire Waller, Garrett Price, Jacee Price, Percy Price, Ryder Hess and Mark Hess, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Thursday, December 14, 2017, at Sharkey Funeral Home in Summit, MS, from 9AM until services at 11AM with Bro. Trey Hess officiating.
