Mrs. Peggy Nell Rushing, 84, of McComb, MS went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 14, 2022 at her residence.

Mrs. Peggy was born in Summit, MS on January 16, 1937 and was the daughter of George C. Davis and Nellie Mae Boggs Davis. She was a life-long member of Central Baptist Church in McComb where she, at one time, was very active in many aspects of the church. She loved to cook and to sew and in her early years, sewed for many friends in the community and for her family as well. She loved her family and was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Douglas Kenneth Rushing; two brothers, Lindsey Davis and Jesse C. Davis; one sister, Minnie Pickering, and one grandson, Dennis H. Rushing.

She is survived by three sons, Randy Rushing and Bennie of Lincoln, MO, Steven Rushing and Devon of Magnolia, MS, and David Rushing and Pam of Warsaw, MO; one daughter, Wanda Skelton of Greenwood, IN; one sister, Addie Davis of McComb, MS; twelve Grandchildren, Heather Lowrie and Eric, Danielle Rushing, Doug Rushing, Gina Rushing, Kimberly Dumas, Dawn Faul and Barry, Elisha Skelton, Michael Rushing and Misti, Amanda Frame, Miranda Manual and Morgan, Jackie Albarado, and Nathaniel Rushing and Glori; eighteen great-grandchildren, and a host of  nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Connie Simmons, her special friend,   as well as the staff of St. Luke Home Hospice for their love and care, and an extra special thank you to Hayley and Tomeka.

There will be a private family graveside service at a later date.
