Myrt M. Reeves, 89, a resident of McComb, passed away, Friday, June 7, 2019 at Camellia Estates.

She was born February 20, 1930 in Franklin County.  She was the daughter of George Allen McFarland and Elizabeth Ezell McFarland.

She was a faithful, longtime member of South McComb Baptist Church where she was very active in many church activities and groups until her health began to fail. She was a member of the church choir, the Senior Adult Group and the Young at Heart.  Ms. Myrt loved to travel and enjoyed trips to Greece, Ireland, Niagra Falls and many other locations including road trips and cruises to different places.  One of her favorite past times was dancing.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Melvin Applewhite, second husband, Don Wilson and third husband, Henry Reeves; two infant children; three brothers, Harold McFarland, Winfield McFarland and Sonny Laird; and two sisters, Earline Alderman and Lucille Ledlow.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Shari and Nic Mancuso of McComb; two brothers, Ralph McFarland (Dot) of Franklin Co. and George McFarland (Joy) of Natchez; sister-in-law, Sandra Laird of  Vicksburg; two grandchildren and their spouses, Melanie and Joe Kearney of Daphne, AL and Gus and Becky Mancuso of Fairfax, VA; four great-grandchildren, Kelli, Kevin and Brooke Kearney , Serena Mancuso and numerous nieces, nephews and other friends and family including her South McComb Baptist Church family.

Visitation is Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at South McComb Baptist Church from 9AM until services at 11AM with Dr. David Millican and Rev. Jeff Van officiating.  Burial will follow in New Salem cemetery in Franklin County under the direction of Sharkey Funeral Home in Summit.
