Mr. Millard Smith, 89, of Osyka, MS, passed from this life on Saturday, December 31, 2022 at his residence.

Mr. Millard was born in Alexandria, LA on January 19, 1933 and was the son of Samuel Mitchell Smith and Delia McFarland Smith. Mr. Millard along with his wife, Helen, ran LaSherry's Restaurant in Osyka from 1976 to 1983. Later, they reopened LaSherry's in Centerville, MS from 1995 to 1997. In the time of them owning and running the restaurant, they made many friends. In his leisure time, he enjoyed traveling with his wife, in their motor home with friends. He was married to his wife, Mrs. Helen Smith for 60 years and she was his whole world. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, J.D. Smith and Pete Smith, and one sister, Aileen Smith.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 wonderful years, Helen Spears Smith of Osyka, MS, and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Boudinot, Freddie Spears, Corey Lea, Bentley Spears, Tuffy Jay Chambers, and Steve Spears.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 from 1PM until time of service at 2PM at Sharkey Funeral Home in Summit, MS with Bro. Rick Kennedy officiating. A burial will follow in the Osyka Cemetery.
