Obituary

Melonie Ann (Johnston) Nations 51 of Magnolia Ms. passed away at her residence on March 31, 2023.

She was born March 5, 1972, to Dale and Elaine Johnston of Magnolia MS.

Melonie loved the outdoors, she loved her animals, loved to hatch her baby ducks and loved to fish, but most of all she loved her family.

She was preceded in death by her Grandfather Frank Johnston of Magnolia, and grandparents Novle and Fred Simmons of Magnolia, her Aunt Marlene Nations, her Uncle Raymond E Johnston, her Aunt Peggy Simmons and her Uncle Herbert Simmons.

She is survived by her parents Dale Lynn Johnston Sr. and Vivian Elaine Johnston both of Magnolia MS, her Grandmother Vivian Mevline Johnston, one Brother Dale Lynn Johnston Jr. one Son Joseph David Gill, one Daughter Jessica Nicole Heathcock, and one Grandson Matthew David Heathcock, Ex Husband Phillip Darrell Gill, all of Magnolia MS. and numerous Aunts and Uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Melonie Ann (Johnston) Nations was a loving daughter, Mother and Grandmother. She will be missed by all. Until we meet again Rest in Peace.

Graveside services to be held Thursday, April 6, 2023, at Johnston Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery in Summit, MS, beginning at 2PM with Bro. Gary Havlin officiating and Sharkey Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
