OBITUARY FOR

MRS. MELINDA BETH WALLACE VAN NORMAN

Funeral services for Mrs. Melinda Beth Wallace Van Norman will be on Sunday, January 12, 2020, at Sharkey Funeral Home in Summit, MS at, 2:00 PM with burial to follow in the Trinity United Church Cemetery, 3054 Old Industrial Rd. in McComb, MS.  Rev. Glenn Bird will be officiating the services, with Sharkey Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Sharkey Funeral Home on Saturday, January 11 from 5:00 PM till 8:00 PM and resume on Sunday, January 12, 2020 at Sharkey Funeral Home from 1:00 PM until time of service at 2:00 PM.

Mrs. Van Norman, 52, Bogue Chitto, passed from this life, unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 7, 2020, at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Brookhaven, MS. She was born on February 18, 1967 in Long Beach, California to Mr. Robert Daryl Wallace and Mrs. Reaber Lavell Wallace.

Melinda was a graduate of North Pike Senior High School in Summit, MS. On July 19, 1986 she married Timothy Dean Van Norman in her mother's backyard.

Melinda was a loving and supportive wife, mother, sister, and friend. She had a smile that could brighten the darkest room. She enjoyed baking, canning, crocheting and spending time with family. It has been said that when she cooked, she cooked enough to feed a small army. There were always extras just in case someone dropped by.

Preceding her in death were her father, Robert and mother Reaber; grandparents, Arthur and Daisy Wallace and Cleveland and Marie Wallace; sister, Anita Jean Wallace; Aunts Elaine Allred, Gracie Albrecht, Kathy McCaffrey and Georgia Franks; uncles, Pete Wallace  and Gene Wallace; mother in law Cathey Callahan and brothers in law, Steve Van Norman and Ricky Van Norman.

Survivors are her loving and devoted husband of 33 years, Timothy Van Norman of Bogue Chitto, MS; daughters; Deidra Lavell Boyd ( Benjamin) of McComb, MS and Jacqueline Brooke Puckett (Christopher) of Bogue Chitto, MS; grandchildren, Nathan Ray Puckett, Tabbitha Olivia Boyd, Ryder Kole Puckett, Matthew Elliot Boyd, Levi Robert Boyd and Aaron Myles Puckett; sister Margie Diane Hastings of Bogue Chitto and brother, Bobby Bruce Wallace of Bogue Chitto; uncle, Bryant Wallace (Deborah) of Wilmer, AL, and aunt Betty Murphee of Houston, TX.

She is also survived by a special nephew, Donald Glynn Hastings as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Pallbearers are Donald Hastings, Aric Wallace, Benjamin Muise, Christopher, Muise, Don Van Norman, Kevin Van Norman, Rodney Fleming, and Dusty Riley

Honorary pallbearers are Elwin Allred, Leonard Wallace Jr., Richard Wallace
