Marylin Patricia Lee Temple, 85 of McComb, MS passed away Thursday, January 1, 2026 at the King`s Daughters Medical Center in Brookhaven, MS. She was born Wednesday, April 10, 1940 in Eustis, Florida.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. at North McComb Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Pike Memorial Gardens. Rev. Laverne Summerlin will officiate. Sharkey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Marylin graduated from Leesburg High School in Florida where she was a cheerleader and played basketball.  She did her nursing training at Orange Memorial Hospital in Orlando, FL. For 49 years, she shared a life of devotion with her beloved husband. She loved to dance with her husband to the 1950's music.  As a hardworking mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, her greatest joy was found in the laughter of her family during the holidays.

A faithful member of North McComb Baptist Church for 50 years, Marylin served with a servant's heart—whether she was singing in the choir, working in the office, or bringing joy to children through Vacation Bible School. She was the cornerstone of her family and a pillar of her community. Her spirited nature shone through her love for Ole Miss, her days bowling and playing volleyball for the March of Dimes and her travels with her sisters. She walked through life with a gentle kindness, leaving a legacy of beautiful flowers, artistic creations, and a family who felt her love in every gesture.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ardell Temple; father, Woodrow Wilson Lee; mother, Bernice Porter Lee; brothers, James Clayton Lee and Wayne Lee.

Survivors include her daughters, Deanna  Coker, Rhonda Gilbert (Randall) and Sheri Dunn;  son, Steve Temple (Mary Margaret) ;  sisters, Norma Stallard and Rita Cunningham; :grandchildren, Brett Coker (Loni), Nick  Coker (Molly), Noele Brenner (Paul), Gabe Mercier (Danyel), Erica Ashmore (Chris), Brandon Gilbert (Ashley), Brent Gilbert (Candace), London Dunn, Lilly Temple and Evan Temple;  great grandchildren, Logan Coker (Alex), Isabella  Coker, Savannah Coker (fiancé Jax Pittman), Cameron Coker, Charlie  Brenner, Scarlett Brenner, Delilah Brenner, Roman  Brenner, Benn Ashmore, Journee Ashmore, Nolan Ashmore, Jack Mercier, Bryce Cox, Melody Gilbert, Eden Gilbert, Karli Gilbert, Dylon Gilbert (Jessa) and Breanna Gilbert;  great great-grandchild, Camden Gilbert; special niece, Robbie Hemphill and special nephew, Sam Cunningham.

Pallbearers will be Brett Coker, Nick Coker, Gabe Mercier, Logan Coker, Charlie Brenner and Cameron Coker.

Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of North McComb Baptist Church.
