Mary Helen Mengele Morgan, 94, went to her heavenly home on July 18 ^th , 2022.

Great Granny, as she was known to family, loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. One of her favorite things was working in her yard and tending her flowers. She loved working on puzzles and crocheting until her sight would no longer allow her to. She crocheted afghans and baby blankets for all her children, grandchildren and many others in the community.

She was born at home in Baltimore, Maryland on June 12, 1928, to John and Mary Mengele. She is united in heaven with her parents, eight siblings, her husband Harold Morgan and a son, George Morgan.

She leaves behind two daughters, Mary Ann Adams (Greg) and Nancy Rowell (Jimmy); son, Mitch Morgan (Regina); daughter-in-law Sheila Morgan; grandchildren, Jason Boone, Matt Boone, Ross Morgan (Jana), Jacob Morgan, Morgan Boyd (Daryl), Kelly Polk (Tyler), Whitney Gerber (Corey), Taylor Corrie (Sam), and Luke Morgan. She also leaves behind eleven great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family members and friends.

A visitation will be held Thursday, July 21, 2022 beginning at 9AM until time of service at 11AM at Bogue Chitto Baptist Church Carter's Creek. A graveside service will immediately follow at Bogue Chitto Baptist Church Carter's Creek with Rev. Jimmy Houston officiating and Sharkey Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

She will be deeply missed but we rest in the assurance that she is in her heavenly home and free from the ailments that plagued her in her earthly life.

The family would like to say a special "Thank You" to Deaconess Hospice for their help in taking care of her the last few months.
