Ms. Mary June Brister, 62, of Osyka, MS, passed from this life on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center in McComb, MS.

Ms. Mary June was born on November 18, 1957 and was the daughter of Junior "Bones" Slaven and Helen "Tinecy" Williams Slaven. She was an active, long time member of Terry's Creek Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and the praise team. She loved being a part of the church and serving others. She enjoyed staying busy and she was always on the go. Her favorite thing to do was spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She touched many lives, and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by one son, Kenny Brister and Jacqueline of Baton Rouge, LA; one daughter Christi Coulter and Michael of Flowood, MS; one brother, Jesse Slaven and Donna of Osyka, MS; three grandchildren, Chase and Lane Coulter and Anna Katherine Brister and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Monday, October 12, 2020 from 5PM until 8PM and continue on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 from 10AM until time of service at 11AM at Terry's Creek Baptist Church with Bro. LaVerne Summerlin officiating and Sharkey Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. A burial will follow in the Hamp Wall Cemetery in Osyka, MS.
