Mary Ellen Boyd, 89, of Jayess, MS went to her heavenly home, Sunday, July 17, 2022. She was born August 30, 1932 in Lawrence County, MS to Kelly and Maggie Wallace. She was a member of Calvary Pentecostal Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Boyd; her parents; brothers, J.B. Wallace of Alabama, Kelly Ray Wallace of Jayess, and Robert Wallace of Morton, MS; sister, Claira Handcock of Lumberton, MS; sons, Wayne Boyd, Charles Ray Boyd, and Donnie Boyd; daughters, Rachel White and Pat White; great-grandson, Hayden Boyd; and daughters-in-law, Mary Boyd and Ernesteen Boyd.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Everett Boyd, Stanley Boyd and wife Donna Boyd, Judy Hux and husband J.R. Hux, Ronnie Boyd and wife Pat Boyd, and Evelyn Boyd; and daughter-in-law, Maria Boyd; nineteen grandchildren; thirty nine great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, many other family members and friends.

A visitation will be held Wednesday July 20, 2022, from 5PM until time of service Thursday, July 21, 2022, at 2PM at Calvary United Pentecostal Church in Jayess, MS with Rev. Ray Bowling, Rev. Elliot Rutland, Rev. Richie Boyd, and Rev. John Boyd officiating and Sharkey Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. A burial will follow in the Powell's Grove United Pentecostal Church Cemetery in Jayess, MS.
