L.T. (Lucious Thomas) Alexander, 84, of Summit, MS, passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center. L.T. was born on October 19, 1933, in Walthall County. He was the son of Ellis and Minnie Lee Dunaway Alexander. He was a member of Gospel Assembly Church in McComb. He spent most of his spare time fishing and enjoyed the outdoors. He was an avid gardener and loved raising fresh vegetables. He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Jimmie R. Alexander and Talmadge R. Alexander; his father-in- law and mother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Victor Boyd, and an infant grandson, Anthony Johnson. He is survived by his wife of 61 beautiful and wonderful years, Helen Boyd Alexander; one son, Dwayne Alexander and wife, Mary; two daughters, Mylinda Alexander Russ and Brenda Alexander Johnson and husband, Wayne; four brothers, Paul Alexander and wife, Shirley, Arthur Alexander and wife, Bobbie, John Alexander, and Earl Alexander and wife, Nellie; the baby sister of all the boys, Toy Alexander Johnson Buie and her children, Gary, Kaye and Scott Johnson; four grandchildren, Jamie Russ Case and husband, Rusty, Jennifer Russ, Steven Alexander and Daniel Alexander; a special granddaughter and great-granddaughter, Heather and Ainsley Johnson; a special grandson, Dalton Russ; five great-grandchildren, Alana Russ, Austin Thompson, Gracie Thompson, Leanne Nieburg and husband, James, and Jake Case; four great-great grandchildren, Ian, Caden, Anna and Ashton Nieburg; a special cousin, Montee Alexander Bowman; special friends, Jackie and Gilbert Lawrence and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation is Thursday, November 16, 2017, at Sharkey Funeral Home, 1023 Old Brookhaven Road, Summit, MS 39666 from 5PM until 8PM and continues Friday, November 17, 2017 at McComb Gospel Assembly Church, 1107 Hwy 44 East, McComb, MS, 39648 from 10AM until services at 1PM with Bro. Bobby Boyd officiating. Burial will be in Hollywood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Heather Johnson, Scott Johnson, Curtis Harvey, Kevin Boyd and Keith Boyd.
