Mrs. Linda "Nana" Sue Cain, 72, of Hammond, LA, passed from this life on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at her residence.

Mrs. Linda was born in Roseland, LA, on September 18, 1949 and was the daughter of Eloise Simon Cain and Bobbie Koen Cain. She was a woman with the biggest heart and found joy in giving to others. Anyone that met her would never forget her. She was the type of person that always made a wonderful first impression. She loved her family and loved big. She was a loving mother, Nana, great-Nana, sister and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by one son, Jeff Van and Jennifer of McComb, MS; one daughter Tracy Johnson of Tylertown, MS; three adopted children, Michael, Russell, Jr., and Angel Lester; one brother, Clyde Cain of Houston, TX; three sisters, Patsy Williams of Port Allen, LA, Betty Jean Bossier of LaPlace, LA, and Sharon Cain of LaPlace, LA; six grandchildren, Cherish Wicker, Chelsea Wicker, Courtney Jones and Hunter, Elizabeth Dumas and Russell, Meghan Van, and Elaine Van; seven great-grandchildren, Serenity Cruise, Jacob Kyzar, Kynlea Jones, Izabell Jones, Dawson Herring, Easton Herring, and James Russell, and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2021 from 9AM until time of memorial service at 11AM at Sharkey Funeral Home in Summit, MS with Bro. Jeff Van officiating.
