Lawrence Burnett Morgan, 67 of Liberty, MS passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at the Merit Health Wesley in Hattiesburg, MS. He was born Tuesday, March 19, 1957 in Lake Village, Arkansas.

Lawrence as a younger man loved to fish and hunt with his brother Luke and his two brother-n-laws. Skilled craftsman, he built remarkable cabinets. Lawrence worked alongside his mother for several years doing upholstery work. Master on the grill he loved cooking for his friends and family. He loved gardening and canning the fruit of his labors (when you could avoid the horseflies).

He was preceded in death by his father, L V Morgan and step-daughter, Sarah Donald.

Survivors include his x-wives, Reva K Ritchey Morgan and Angela Harris; sons, Heath Morgan, Roy Dylan Morgan, both from Crossett, Arkansas and Jeffrey L Morgan of Liberty, MS; mother, Mary M Brumley Cupit; grandchildren, Kaden Morgan, Harper Morgan and Madalyn Morgan; brother, Luke V Morgan (Reba); sisters, Ruth M Powell (Charles), Patricia M Portaritis (Thomas) and Donna J Morgan.

Visitation and memorial service will be held Saturday, March 29, 2025 from 11 AM until 1 PM at the Apostolic Church, located on Freedom Drive in Liberty, MS. Officiants will be Bro. Mike Manchester and also Mr. Morgan's nephews, Bro. Jason Powell and Bro. Michael Morgan.
