Laura L. Brown, 78, of Vicksburg, MS passed peacefully from this life on December 18, 2025, at her home in Vicksburg, MS.

Laura was born in Magnolia, MS on June 27, 1947, and was the daughter of E.H. (Gene) Bailey and Margaret Case Bailey.  She retired from Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical
Center as a medical billing/coding clerk.  She enjoyed dancing, camping, floating the Bogue Chitto River, attending car shows and spending time with friends and family.  She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, cousin and friend.  Her smile, sweet demeanor and the ability to see the good in everything will be missed by all who knew and loved her.  She was a member of New Heights Baptist Church in Summit, MS.

She is preceded in death by her loving, faithful husband of 56 years, Aubrey Aaron Brown; her parents; one brother, Wallace Bailey; one brother-in-law, Lloyd Brown; two nephews, Eddie Ray Bailey and Michael Brown.

She is survived by her only daughter, Michelle Brown Hunter and Tim of Vicksburg, MS; one sister, Carole Ford of Magnolia, MS; one brother-in-law, Floyd Brown and Helon of Summit, MS; granddaughters Lori Finney (Mike) of Vicksburg, and Ragan Haas (Travis) of Vicksburg, great grand-children Olivia Thompson, Marley Jo Haas, Noah Haas, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 22, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Sharkey Funeral Home in Summit, MS. Funeral will take place on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. also at Sharkey Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in the Magnolia Cemetery in Magnolia, MS.
