Mr. Larry Scarberry, Sr., 72, of Progress, MS, passed from this life on November 26, 2022, at his residence. He was born on May 21, 1950, in Osyka, MS, to Ocie and Lora Scarberry.

He was a dairy farmer. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He never met a stranger. He was quick to smile and had a sense of humor that will be missed by all.

Preceding him in death were his parents and son Timothy Scarberry.

Survivors are his wife, Joyce, of 52 years; four daughters, Lora, Angela, Kristy, and Rebecca; four sons, Larry (Patricia), Daryl, Martin, and Jerry; and stepson, Chris; two sisters, Sharon Scarberry of Osyka and Margie Kinchen of Alexander, LA; eight grandchildren Kristen, Larry C., Shyann, Landen, JT, Siarra, Shanty, Lazalea; five great grandchildren, Connor, Hazel, David, Heaven, and Jayvin; special niece, Denise (Jimmy Ray) and nephew, Kevin (Heather) Frazier; special friends, John and Nancy Hall; and a host of family and friends.

Pallbearers are Jimmy Ray Phelps, Landen Scarberry, JT Brooks, Kevin Frazier, Billy Thames, and Terry Dunaway.

Honorary Pallbearers are Cody Smith and Larry C. Scarberry.

A visitation will be held Saturday, December 3, 2022, at Sharkey Funeral Home beginning at 10AM until time of service at 11AM. A graveside service will immediately follow at Osyka Cemetery with Bro. Jeff Phelps officiating.
