Kurt Raynard Dillon, 43, of Summit, MS, passed from this life on Tuesday, August 6, 2019, at 2:00 PM at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond, LA, from complications following a motorcycle accident on July 22, 2019.
He was born on December 9, 1975, in McComb, MS, to Keith and Patsy Dillon. Kurt was a Christian and a member of Johnston Chapel United Methodist Church where he attended regularly. He worked for many years as a painter, enjoyed riding his motorcycle, visiting with family and friends, talking with any and every one that would listen, and playing with his dog Sam. He was a loving son, brother, nephew and friend.
Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Ora Dillon, James Dillon, Ellis Pittman, Minnie B. Pittman and one uncle, Roy Dillon.
Survivors are his parents, Keith and Patsy (Pittman) Dillon of Brandon, MS; one brother, Micah (Pam) Dillon of Summit, MS; one nephew, Evan (Rachel) Dillon of Gonzales, LA; one aunt, Jackie (Allen) Jones of Albany, LA; three uncles, James (Martha) Dillon of Summit, MS; David (Joann) Dillon of Jayess, MS; Johnny (Helen) Pittman of Kentwood, LA; and several cousins and other family and friends.
Visitation will be on Friday, August 9, 2019, at Sharkey Funeral Home in Summit, MS, from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM. There will be a graveside service on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at New Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Easleyville, LA at 10:00 AM. Bro. Matthew Pharis will be officiating the services with Catchings-Sharkey Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Honorary pallbearers are James Lee Berch, David Dillon, Evan Dillon, James Dillon, Micah Dillon, Michael Wayne Ingle, and Johnny Pittman.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to New Zion Cemetery Association, St. Jude's Children's Hospital or charity of your choice.
