Mr. Kristopher Lee Powell, 47, of Summit, MS, passed from this life on Sunday, August 6, 2023 to rest in his heavenly home, at University of Mississippi Medical Center with his loving family by his side. He was born on September 3, 1975 in McComb, MS, to William Frank Powell and Gayle Brown Tullos.

Kristopher enjoyed being with his family and friends. He enjoyed cooking, especially when it was for someone who enjoyed eating. He often volunteered for various charitable events. Being in the outdoors was a passion with fishing being one of his favorite activities. He was a great story teller. He was a loving father, son, brother, grandfather, and uncle.

Preceding him in death is his father.

Survivors are his mother, Gayle Tullos; one son, William Powell; one grandchild, Katherine "Katie" Powell; one brother, Joshua Tullos (Kody); one aunt, Kay Allred (James) and a host of family and friends.

Honorary pallbearers are Brentlee Tullos, Beckett Tullos, Jeremy Ferguson, Robert Causey, Jason Brown, and Josh Stringer.

A visitation will be held Thursday, August 10, 2023, at New Heights Baptist Church in Summit, MS, beginning at 5PM until 7PM and will continue Friday, August 11, 2023, from 9:30AM until time of memorial service at 10AM. Bro. Cletus Moak and Bro. Joseph Ingram will officiate with Sharkey Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
