Kolbie Landon Humphries, 16, of Summit, went to his final home on Saturday, July 14, 2018.He was born August 31, 2001 in McComb. He was the son of Randy and Brandy McIntosh Humphries. Kolbie loved life and making people laugh. He always had a smile on his face. He loved family, food, fun and fishing. He started school at Bogue Chitto and then attended the North Pike School District where he was a member of the North Pike High School Band. He spent one year at JPAC School where he was a member of the choir and he enjoyed art. Kolbie enjoyed being the center of attention and portrayed a Woodsman in the Pike County little Theater's musical production of "The Big Bad Wolf". He was a graduate of the Pace program at Summit Health and Rehab in Pike County. He was very proud of the fact that he could name all of the U.S. Presidents in order, forward and backward in under two minutes, thanks to Mrs. Kitty Sasser. Kolbie, on horseback, helped drive 350 head of cattle through the mountains of Montana.
He is preceded in death by his maternal great-grandfather, J.R. Causey; his maternal grandfather, Toney McIntosh and his paternal grandparents, Robert E. and Doris C. Humphries.
Survivors include his mother and father; brothers, Christopher Hart and Tristian Humphries; sisters, Lauren D. Humphries and Kayla H. Humphries, maternal grandmother, Paula G. Ngo; his maternal great-grandmother, Jackie M. Causey; nephews, Logan Case, Dawson Humphries, Bentley Humphries, Kyler Humphries, Preston Humphries, Braxton Trotter and his one and only special niece, Khloe Humphries.
Visitation is Wednesday, at Sharkey Funeral Home, 1023 Old Brookhaven Road, Summit, MS 39666 from 5PM until 8PM and Thursday from 10AM until services at 11AM with Bro. Brent Freeman officiating. Burial will be in Wesson cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Terry Causey, Lovell Trotter, Tanner Humphries, David Quin, Thomas Welch, Jaylen Wells, Travonta Roberts, Austin Weir. Honorary pallbearers will be Logan Case, Dawson Humphries, Caleb Causey, Bentley Humphries, Kyler Humphries, Preston Humphries, Braxton Trotter, Matt Ngo and Robert Causey.
