Mr. June Austin Spears, Jr., 58, of Osyka, MS, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 11, 2021 at his residence.

Mr. Austin was born in Zachary, LA on October 2, 1962 and was the son of June Austin Spears, Sr. and Emma Jean Forbes Spears. He was an avid LSU and Saints fan. He was the biggest fan of his niece, Britney Jean Spears. He was very artistic in creating pictures and loved to cook. He was known for his white beans and pork chops. He was a very proud grandfather and uncle and loved his family dearly. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Austin Wayne Spears; one nephew, Justin Englo Ballard; Mom, Ruth Ritchie Spears and the mother of his children, Jodi Sherman Spears.

He is survived by one son, Jarek Spears of New Mexico; one daughter, Jessica Re' Spears of DeRidder, LA; two granddaughters, Lilly Shelton and Huntlie Graham; six brothers, James "Jamie" Spears, William Spears, John Mark Spears, Bubba Varnado and wife, Mickey, Culver Varnado and wife, Kathy and Tiance Varnado; three sisters, Jeanine Stewart and husband, Allen, Leigh Ann Wrather and Linda Ann Kjos and husband, Ora and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Cally Ballard, Bryan Spears, William Spears, John Mark Spears, Josh Newsome and Brudder McDaniel.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at 11AM at Roberts Cemetery in Osyka, MS with Bro. Michael Townsend officiating and Sharkey Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
