Obituary

Mrs. Julia Lee White, 102, passed from this life on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center with her loving family by her side. She was born on March 7, 1920, in Pricedale, MS, to Ernest "Pete" Brewer and Inez Williams Brewer.

She was a faithful Christian lady who was devoted to her church. She was faithful in her finances as well as in her attendance. She also made sure that she attended Felder's Campmeeting every year. She even made her way to the campgrounds the year of 2020 when COVID-19 prevented services from being held. She was well known as a seamstress through the years and continued with needlework until her passing. As the wife of an active serviceman, she purchased the family farm while he was deployed. She retired from the State of MS, having served in various roles. One of her greatest joys in life was spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of seventy one years, J.M. "Mutt" White; two sisters, Louise Godbold and Marie Allen.

She is survived by two sons, Johnny White and wife Beth and Kenny White and wife Janell; one sister, Vivian Reeves; five grandchildren, Sandy White, Pat White and wife Johanna, Kenyon Greer and husband Jon, Bradley White and wife Brandy, and Kristen Fortenberry and husband Todd ; ten great grandchildren, Klayton Greer and wife Laura, Britt White, Charlie White, Clara Beth White, Klara Greer, Lillian White, Linley Fortenberry, Isabella White, Lawson Fortenberry, and Stella White; and a host of family and friends.

Pallbearers are Pat White, Bradley White, Klayton Greer, Britt White, Charlie White, Lawson Fortenberry, Jon Greer, and Todd Fortenberry.

A visitation will be held Saturday, November 12, 2022 at Friendship Baptist Church in McComb, MS beginning at 9AM until time of service at 11AM. A graveside service will immediately follow at Reeves Cemetery in Summit, MS. Bro. Bradley White will officiate with Sharkey Funeral Home in charge of services.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in her name to: Friendship Baptist Church or Felder's Campmeeting Assoc.
