Juanita H. Martin, 87, of Magnolia, passed away, Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at her residence. She was born March 27, 1930 in Pike County. She was the daughter of Lorenzo D. and Gladys Moak Owens. She was a longtime member of South McComb Baptist Church. Mrs. Martin was employed by Kellwood Co. for 16 years and retired from TG&Y and Walmart. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George F. Martin who passed away in 2002; her sister, Alice Owens. She is survived by her two daughters, Marion Howell Allen of Smithdale and Anita Howell Ruthardt of Magnolia; one brother and his wife, Morris L. Owens and Jean of McComb; two grandsons, James B."Jamie" Allen of Carbondale, IL and Bradford Keeton Henderson and Yesim Merter of Irvine, CA; two great-grandchildren, Hayley McDaniel and husband, Kase of Hattiesburg and James Benjamin Allen of Carbondale, IL. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday in Hollywood cemetery with Dr. David Millican officiating. Sharkey Funeral Home in Summit is in charge of arrangements.
