Mr. Joseph G. "Jody" Brock, Sr., 72, of McComb, MS, passed from this life on Tuesday, April 23, 2019, at Southwest MS Regional Medical Center in McComb, MS.  He was born on May 24, 1946, in Brookhaven, MS, to Freddie Otto and Bonnie Mae Stinson Brock. He was of the Baptist faith; served his country in the MS National Guard; worked for many years as a welder and mechanic; and enjoyed fishing with his wife, and spending time with his family. He was a loving son, husband, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend.

Preceding him in death were his parents; sisters, Bonnie Jean Brock and Barbara Ann Heathcock; brothers, Freddie "Sonny" Brock, L V Brock, Otto Brock, Lester Brock, and David E. Brock; sisters-in-law, June Brock and Wilmuth Faye Brock; and brothers-in-law, Jimmy Ballard and Barry Rogers.

Survivors are his wife of 51 years, Gloria Tarver Brock; children, Joseph Glenn Brock, Jr. (Connie), and Pamela Rose Brock both of McComb, MS; brothers, Jeff Brock of Dallas, TX, and Robert Brock (Alma) of Custer, KY; sisters, Karen Rogers, and Lois Ballard both of Brookhaven, MS; grandchildren, Kimberly Brock and Jonathan Brock; great-grandchildren, Aiden Greer, Hunter Brock and Wyatt Neal; and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be on Friday, April 26, 2019, at Sharkey Funeral Home in Summit, MS, from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 2:00 PM with burial to follow in the Pike Memorial Cemetery in Mccomb, MS.  Catchings-Sharkey Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Pallbearers are Jonathan Brock, Wayne Brock, Brad Brock, Greg Brock, Darren Fuller, and John Tarver.
