Johnny
Lang
June 6, 1943 – February 16, 2026
Johnny Lang, 82 of Summit, MS passed away Monday, February 16, 2026 at the Camelia Estates in McComb, MS. He was born Sunday, June 6, 1943 in McComb, MS.
Johnny was a man who lived with joy, purpose, and a deep sense of gratitude for the life he'd been given. Whether he was walking the fairways with a golf club in hand or slipping quietly into the woods before sunrise in search of a wary old gobbler, he felt most at home in God's creation. He loved to turkey hunt and also worked for Lynch Calls. Johnny was a proud Ole Miss fan, he cheered with heart and loyalty, win or lose. But above all else, he loved his Jesus. His faith shaped the way he treated people—with kindness, humility, and a steady, genuine warmth. He leaves behind a legacy of laughter, good stories, and a life lived with devotion to the things that mattered most.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Eloise Hancock, and his wife, Barbara Jean Lang.
Survivors include sons, Ronald Lang (Crystal), Bryant Lang and Evan Lang; step-daughters, Stephanie Holman Porter (Chris) and Crystal Holman Harvey (Anthony); grandchildren, Cohen Harvey, Josh Lang, Shaun Lang, Chris Lang, Daniel Brumfield, Noah Lang, Kimberly McCullough, Casey Lang, Elise Lang, Seth Porter (Haley), Julianna Porter, Mackenzie Porter, Vivian Claire Porter.
