John Clayton Vaughan, 57, passed from this life on Wednesday, August 3, 2016, at Southwest MS Regional Medical Center in McComb, MS. He was born on May 2, 1959, in Lee County, AL, to Clayton and Maxine Boswell Vaughan. He was a member of the Tilton Methodist Church. He worked for many years as a self-employed carpenter. He was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather and friend to all who knew him. Preceding him in death are his parents, Clayton and Maxine Boswell Vaughan. Survivors are his sons, Johnathon Vaughan of McComb, MS, and Ryan Lewis of West Palm Beach, FL; daughter, Jennifer Vaughan Jackson of Bogue Chitto; brother, Wesley Vaughan and wife Genie of Jayess, MS; sister, Sonya Vaughan Brinkley of Jayess, MS; grandchildren, Lakin Vaughan, Dalton May, Gabriella Vaughan and Jody Stone, Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Memorial service will be held at Hidden Springs Resort, 16 Clyde Rhodus Road, Tylertown, MS 39667 on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 2:00 P M with Rev. Lance Moak officiating. Family gathering with friends will be from 12:00 P M until Memorial Service at 2:00 P M and will follow after the service until 5:00 P M. His daughter will be in charge of arrangements.
