John Calvin Hancock Sr., 49, passed away Sunday, September 26, 2021 at his home. He was born January 29,1972, to Frank Hancock Sr. and Nickie E. Hancock, in Hartford City, Indiana. He was a loving brother, father, uncle, brother-in-law and grandpa. He loved his dogs, fishing, spending time with family, and talking on the phone.

He is Survived by ex-wife, Ester Hancock; children, Nickie C. Hancock, Maria Hancock (Josh Ponder), John Hancock Jr. (Allison Hancock), Roger Hancock, and Jamie Hancock; Siblings, Laura Atkinson (David Atkinson), Frankie Brumfield (Shelby Brumfield), Frank Hancock Jr. (Ruth Hancock); 6 grandkids and many nieces and nephews best friend Michael Constant Jr.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Valarie Hancock; and Aunt Robyn Cunnington.

Sharkey Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements. A private family service will be held at a later date.
