Mr. John Wayne Price, 75, of Tylertown, MS, passed from this life on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at University of Mississippi Medical Center with his loving family by his side. He was born on June 12, 1948 in McComb, MS, to John Wilfred Price and Dorothy Gerber Price.

He made the most of life. If there was something that he wanted to do, he did it to the fullest. His various hobbies ranged from scuba diving, motorcycles, piloting the aircraft that he and his wife built, and target shooting. Spending time with his friends and family was important to him. He was passionate about those that meant the most to him and will be missed dearly.

Preceding him in death were his parents and one grandson, Jarrod Price.

Survivors are his wife of 53 years, Amelia Sue Price; one son, James Price and wife Kimberly; two grandchildren, Justin Price and Richie Price; and a host of family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Justin Price and James Price.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Bob Grobe and Richie Price.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at Sharkey Funeral Home in Summit, MS, beginning at 10AM until time of service at 11AM. A graveside service will immediately follow at Reeves Cemetery with Rev. Jess Greer officiating.
