Mr. John Ramon Prescott, 90, of Magnolia, MS,  passed from this life on Thursday, January 5, 2023, at University Medical Center with his loving family by his side. He was born on January 4, 1933 in Magnolia, MS, to J.Y. Prescott and Wilma Powell Prescott.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his first wife, Johnnie Ruth King Prescott; one son, Ramon Keith Prescott; one sister, Beatrice Prescott.

Survivors are his wife of 31 years, Paulette Rhodus Prescott; two daughters, Terrie Prescott Burris and Diana Jones (Nathan); one son, John A Prescott (Edie); six grandchildren, Christian Burris (Michelle), Seth Prescott (Mika), Jarod Boyd, Grafton Prescott, Gavin Prescott, and Katie Boyd; three great grandchildren, Anah Honea, Xavior Prescott, and FaithAnn Prescott; and a host of family and friends.

A memorial visitation will be held Sunday, January 22, at First Baptist Church of Magnolia beginning at 1PM until time of memorial service at 2PM with Pastor Tim Buford officiating.
