Mr. John David Howell Jr., 65, of McComb, MS, passed from this life on July 21, 2020, at McComb Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born on May 19, 1955 in McComb, MS, to J.D. Howell and Bernice Wells Howell. He was a member of New Heights Baptist Church.

He enjoyed fishing, attending Southwest games with his Uncle Jack Wells and enjoyed talking about cars.  He loved to play his guitar and drums, and enjoyed listening to Christian music. He was a loving son and brother.

Preceding him in death was his father and one sister, Connie Ginn.

Survivors are his mother; one brother, Jimmy Wayne Howell and wife Lisa, of Hattiesburg, MS; one sister, Carolyn Carter and husband Bill, of Lake Fork, TX; and a host nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A Graveside Service for Mr. John Howell will be held on Friday, July 24, 2020, at 10:00 AM at Hollywood Cemetery in McComb, MS.  Bro. Rick Kennedy will be officiating the services, with Sharkey Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. A visitation will be held at Sharkey Funeral Home on Friday, July 24, 2020, from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM.

Due to COVID 19 we are asking that masks are worn and social distancing is observed.
