Mr. John Dean "Pops" Fife, 86, of Mc Call Creek, MS, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 18, 2021 at King's Daughter Medical Center in Brookhaven, MS.

Mr. John was born on June 26, 1934 and was the son of Preston Fife and Alma Baker Fife. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and working in his garden. He loved his family and enjoyed talking on the telephone with them. He loved spending time with his family, his grandchildren and his great-grandchildren. In the mornings, you would find him sitting outside on his porch, drinking his coffee. He also loved to argue with his daughter, Bonnie, but he sure did love her as well as each of his children. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 49 years, Nancy Louise Beckstrome Fife; one daughter, Patricia Ann Fife; three brothers, Jessie Fife, Bill Fife, and Kenneth Fife; two sisters, Mary Rolland and Betty Jean Fife; one son-in-law, William Bill Petty; one granddaughter, Cassie Kelly, and one infant great-grandson, Cohen Harrell.

He is survived by his three sons, Eddie Fife of Rayville, LA, Michael Fife and Kerrie of Haile, LA, and David Fife and Lynette of Bastrop, LA; two daughters, Bonnie Petty of Mc Call Creek, MS and Holly Crowell and Jerry of Bastrop, LA; one special friend, Brenda Gradick of Monroe, La; one brother, Jr. Fife and Vera; one sister, Dorothy Sue Black, fif-teen grandchildren, Michelle Hill, Virginia Petty, Wesley Petty, Chelsea Lowe, Shawn Fife, Christopher Fife, Jeremy Fife, Johnny Ray Fife, Derek Fife, Kody Fife, Jessica Fife, April Fife, Stacey Guyotte, Brandon Fife, and Jackie Dickson, and numerous  great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Derek Fife, Jeremy Fife, Shawn Fife, Johnny Ray Fife, Will Hill and Brandon Fife.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 from 1PM until time of service at 2 PM at Sharkey Funeral Home in Summit, MS with Bro. Raymond Gonzales officiating. A burial will follow in the Petty Family Cemetery in Summit, MS.
