Mr. Joe Alvin Jackson, 84, of McComb, MS, passed from this life on Friday, July 7, 2023, at his residence with his loving family by his side. He was born on November 21, 1938 in McComb, MS, to C.E. Jackson, Sr. and Ilda Lee McCulley Jackson.

He enjoyed hard work and family. He was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife of 52 years, Billie Jean Smith Jackson; and one brother, Jerry Jackson.

Survivors  are  one daughter, Beverly Miller; two sons, Alvin Jackson and wife Polly Jackson, Corey Jackson and wife Chasity Torrence; three sisters, Kathryn Brister (Mike), Barbara Barker, and Carolyn Ryan; five brothers, C.E. Jackson, Jr. (Nancy), Carey Jackson (Mary Lynn), Hugh Jackson (Peggy), Byron Jackson (Sylvia), and James Jackson (Bonnie); sisters-in-law, Hilda Frazier (Mack) and Jerri Felder; brother-in-law, James Smith (Shirley); five grandchildren, Colin Miller (Joy), Hannah Hale (Jonathan), Rebekah Miller, Zoe Holifield (Stephen), and Patience Miller; three great grandchildren, Joe Curtis Hale, Margaret Jean Hale, and Dorothy Anne Hale; and a host of family and friends.

Pallbearers are Colin Miller, Steve Jackson, Jamie Jackson, Jonathan Hale, Stephen Holifield, and Jason D. Frazier.

Honorary pallbearers are Rodney Beard and Lance Beard.
