Joan Ellen Nimon, 92, of Summit, MS, passed away October 2, 2018 at Southwest MS Regional Medical Center in McComb. She was born in London, England on June, 18, 1926, to Peter and Mary Jane Rookerson.She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She loved to travel and shop. She was just a fun-loving person to be around.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Archie; 2 sons, David and Phillip Nimon; two brothers and one sister.

She is survived by a daughter, Sherrye Hux; five grandchildren, Rebecca Alford,(spouse Reed Alford, Christopher Hux,(spouse Loren Hux), Jonathan Hux,(spouse Heather Hux) Lisa Nimon and Eric Nimon(spouse Laurie Nimon) and six great grandchildren, Ashley Coffey,(spouse Matt Coffey), Asia Roy, Caitlin Roy, Breland Alford, Kole Alford, Kennedy Alford, Evan Hux and Eli Hux and two great-great grandchildren, Lillie Coffey and Leighton Coffey.
