Mrs. Joan Elarton, 90, of Magnolia, MS passed from this life on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at her residence with her loving family by her side. She was born on August 2, 1932 in New York City, NY, to Albert Jones and Helen Kearney Jones.

Her husband, Jack, was the love of her life. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She would often be found enjoying a gameshow, doing puzzles, and feeding the local wildlife including her peacocks.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, her parents, and one infant grandson, Timothy Albert Williams.

She is survived by two daughters, Dianne Alger and husband, Richard, and Linda Williams and husband, John; four grandchildren, Lauren Fountain, Kelly Krezinski and husband, Chris, Katy Matte and husband, DJ, and David Alger; seven great-grandchildren, Gavin Beasley, Brady Beasley, Grayson Fountain, Rylee Matte, Valerie Matte, Emma Krezinski and Jackson Krezinski; one brother-in-law, Doug Elarton and wife Becky; and two sisters-in-law, Johni Shawver and Fran Beach Kinnison and husband Roger; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, November 12, 2022, at Osyka Baptist Church beginning at 10:30 AM until time of memorial service at 11AM with Bro. Jacob Williams officiating.

The family requests memorials be made in her name to: Osyka Volunteer Fire Department or The Osyka Veterans Park.
