Jimmy Dale Alexander, 80 of Summit, passed away, Sunday, May 28, 2017 at his residence. He was born September 5, 1936 in Pricedale, MS. He was the son of Caytes and Estelle Boyd Alexander. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and was a retired cross country truck driver. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sarah Louise Ratliff Alexander; one daughter, Monica "Tutti" Forrest and two brothers and sisters-in-law, McClain and Bobby Alexander and Harry and Edna Merle Alexander. He is survived by five sons, Ricky Ratliff of KY, Roger Alexander of Cedar Rapids, IA, Dale Alexander and wife, Debbie of Levittown, PA, Percy Alexander of Walthall Co. and Tracy Alexander of McComb; three daughters, Fonda Sills of Bogue Chitto, Lisa Smith and husband, Bo of Silsbee, TX and Sunshine Lawrence and husband, Michael of Summit; one brother and sister-in-law, Jesse K. and Carol Ann Alexander of Bogue Chitto; one son-in-law, Randy Forrest of McComb; brothers-in-law, I.J. Ratliff of McComb; Tommy Ratliff and wife, Meg of Bay Monette, AL and Wayne Ratliff of MO; sisters-n-law, Patricia Tuttle of MO; seventeen grandchildren; eight great- grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation is Thursday at Calvary Baptist Church in Pricedale from 5PM until 8PM and Friday from 10AM until services at 11AM with Bro. Zach Smith and Bro. Mike Burns officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Sharkey Funeral Home in Summit. Pallbearers will be Mark Forrest, Shelby Johnson, Clayton Lawrence, Eric Smith, Stephen Alexander and Robert King. Honorary pallbearers will be Brad Alexander, Joe Wooley and Bennie Evans.
